Kuala Lumpur 

With fares starting at just $16 USD one way, AirAsia and Malaysian Airlines (MAS) operate flights from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi on a daily basis.

Getting to Kuala Lumpur’s airport from your original location by train is very straightforward. Your best bet is to travel directly to Kuala Lumpur Sentral station, then take the KLIA Ekspres, which will take you to the airport in half an hour.

The flight itself takes approximately one hour and lands close to Pantai Cenang, which is considered the most popular tourist location on the island. The journey there from the airport is expected to cost roughly $5 USD.

There are many options for travelling from the Middle East to Langkawi. From Ridayh in Saudi Arabia, flights start from approximately $610 USD for flights with two layovers. King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia offers direct flights, with the cheapest option currently costing roughly $758 USD.

Qatar Airways launched a new flight service between Doha and Langkawi, which has made it more convenient than ever to travel to Langkawi from the Middle East. Their flights from Doha, Qatar started running on October 15th.
